Chief Accountant Job (Oil and Gas)

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting for a leading global provider specializing in the engineering, manufacture, sales and service of Electric Submersible Pump systems (ESPs).Our respected client provides exceptional sales, service and support to more than 500 clientsin the oil and gas industry worldwide.They are seeking an accountant of the very highest quality to fill the job of Chief Accountant,to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Chief Accountantis a key senior member of the Accounting Team. The winning candidate will be directly responsible for management and control of the following critical functions of the Accounting Department:

Responsibilities:
    Accounting Set-Up and Preparation under IFRS and Indonesia Standard basis
    Tax and Statutory Reporting and Compliance
    Audit Liaison
    Perform other duties directed by CFO or/and top management

Requirements:
    Bachelor Degree in Accounting from reputable university
    Fluent English a MUST
    5+ years’ work experience as midsize company Chief Accountant/Controller of large company affiliate
    7+ years financial/accounting experience
    (CPA/ACCA/CIMA) credentials preferred
    Experience running accounting and reporting function under both local and international accounting and reporting standards (IFRS or US GAAP) is mandatory
    Experience with a US or European company is mandatory
    Good knowledge of both Indonesia and international accounting standards (IFRS or US GAAP) is mandatory
    Hands-on experience with setting up/improving daily accounting operations and controls
    Good understanding of computerized accounting systems
    Experience with oil service industries is preferred but not required.
    Working knowledge of MS Excel
    Good analytical and people skills
    Willing to relocate to Duri, Riau
